The European University of Brittany (French Université européenne de Bretagne), located in Rennes, France, is a public center for higher education, academic research and doctoral studies located over multiple campuses in the region of Brittany, established in March 2007. The UEB gathers 28 members (Universities , « grandes écoles », research organisations) that includes 70 000 students and over 6 000 researchers.

The UEB aims to :

  • Develop a regional shared research strategy
  • Set-up ambitious national or international/European projects that promote Brittany’s excellence in research and education

The Regional platform for EU projects (French Plateforme projets européens -2PE) is a recently created (2012) common department of the 28 members of UeB. 2PE aims to integrate Brittany’s research and higher education institutions into the European Research Area (ERA) by:

  • Facilitating researchers’ access to European fundings thanks to a technical assistance in project engineering (information, detection, seting-up of the proposal, negociation with EC).  Scope: Horizon 2020 and Erasmus +
  • Highlighting the regional participation to European programmes
